If you need the complete sequence of a plasmid insert or PCR fragment, which is longer than the average read length (750-900 bases) of one sequence run, we recommend ordering the Single Strand sequencing service.

With this service, one or two initial reactions using either standard vector primers or primers designed by the customer are performed. Based on the resulting sequence data, new primers are defined and synthesised to allow the next round of sequencing reactions. This process is repeated until the entire region on one strand has been covered.

The availability of a reference sequence can further speed up the process as this enables us to define multiple primers from the start. Our in-house DNA synthesis production site enables us to offer you the fastest possible delivery times.
